Help a household during COVID-19 crisis

The COVID-19 has closed schools and workplaces nationwide. Vulnerable children are losing the school meals they depend on, and low-income families are struggling with lost wages  amidst the coronavirus crisis. Thousands of people have lost their jobs.

An estimated of 17 million of New American Children live in the United States, including US citizen children with documented immigrant parents and  US citizen children with undocumented immigrant parents.

Undocumented families  are scared to seek for necessary help , social services, or care out of fear they may be identified as public burden, illegal, and therefore be arrested.  This creates an increased risk for transmission of the virus and put many of our most vulnerable children further at risk.  More than 1, 7 millions children food are insecure in Texas. 2.6 million of households in Texas are struggling. Poor children are vastly under-counted.

With all these changes, many families are seeking out resources to keep their children academically engaged , entertained, and anxiety-free. A daunting task for any parent, JUSTERCARE and other nonprofit organizations are working to provide families with what they need so we can get through this crisis together.
